This was a four-painting set made to bring a pop of color to my sister’s new kitchen. In the past, tomatoes used to be called “love apples,” and since this set was made for someone I love, I thought the term would be a good title for these paintings of heirloom tomatoes. It is a versatile set for decorating in that the paintings can be hung separately, in a two by two grid, in a vertical line in a horizontal line, or in pairs, and so on.
